Christiaan van Buchem hopes to obtain his Ph.D. from Leiden University on Friday, September 5. His research focused on hot exoplanets. The full title of his thesis is: The sky is made of lava: How lava worlds reveal their interiors through their atmospheres. His supervisors are Yamila Miguel, Wim van Westrenen (VU University Amsterdam), and Ignas Snellen.
