Relativistic hydrodynamic jets (PhD defense Sander Walg, RU)
On Thursday afternoon, June 19, at 16:30, Sander Walg (Radboud University) hopes to receive his PhD for his research on superfast gas flows around black holes. The full title of his thesis is "Relativistic hydrodynamic jets: Mixing effects, radial structure and synchrotron emission for continuous and episodic AGN jets". His promotors are Bram Achterberg (RU) and Sera Markoff (UvA). Walg conducted his research while working as a high school math teacher.
