Harold Linnartz Astrochemistry Prize lecture by Ilse Cleeves (in English)
On June 5 2025 at 15:30 pm, the inaugural Harold Linnartz Astrochemistry Prize lecture will take place in Leiden. This new annual award targets early career researchers that are active at the boundary of astronomy and chemistry.
The award is named in honor of professor Harold Linnartz, who passed away late 2023 and whose research embodied the interdisciplinary nature of Astrochemistry.
The inaugural lecture will be given by Ilse Cleeves, professor of astronomy and chemistry from the University of Virginia, US. The title is "From Atoms to Asteroids: How Chemistry Governs the Birth of Planets".
Everyone is welcome. The lecture, aimed at a broad audience, will be followed by a festive borrel.
