Farewell lecture: Truth in Science (Amsterdam)
Facing the truth is not one of man's strengths, says astronomer Michiel van der Klis in his farewell lecture. Science is the process we have found to do that, with enormous consequences, but it remains difficult. Why is it so difficult, and how does science help us to overcome these limitations?
